Standing on Her Shoulders. Boosting Her Confidence.
The progress we celebrate today is built on the strength, resilience, and determination of the women who came before us, just like my grandma Edith and mom Liz did. Their victories — hard-fought and hard-won — paved the way for a new generation of leaders, dreamers, and changemakers. Yet, while we honor their legacies, we refuse to be patient with the pace of progress.
The equity gap remains a stark reality, limiting the opportunities our daughters, including my own, MacKenzie, will experience as they step into the world. We must do more than acknowledge the obstacles—we must dismantle them.
HERd exists to ignite conversations and fuel action, ensuring that women step into a world that values their brilliance, not just their resilience. We are building a future where leadership is defined by talent, where boardrooms and executive teams reflect the diversity of the world we live in, and where no woman has to climb alone.
We owe it to the women before us. We owe it to the women beside us. We owe it to the girls watching us. The time to act is now. Let’s close the gap with urgency, accelerate momentum, and ensure that when she steps forward, she stands taller.
